SHANGHAI, CHINA– April 2, 2024: Today, oTMS, one of the leading cloud transport management platforms in APAC, was recognized as a Notable Vendor in Gartner, Inc.’s 2024 Asia/Pacific Context: ‘Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems’.

Gartner mentioned in the report that “Organizations within the Asia/Pacific market have historically looked for TMSs that are execution-focused. Capabilities such as transportation planning and route optimization are not typically prioritized by shippers. Those capabilities are highly desired by third-party logistics (3PL) organizations and logistics service providers. With the increasing demand in retail and e-commerce, there is some shifting in this regard. This is especially true in countries such as China, India and Vietnam. Companies within those countries are starting to investigate planning and route optimization capabilities to better support customer demands, particularly for last-mile deliveries in urban locations.

There is also increasing interest among companies in the region to have transportation and logistics technologies integrated. In response, vendors in the region often offer a suite of logistics-focused capabilities. This can include TMS, dock scheduling, yard management and warehouse management. Many companies prefer to work with a single technology vendor that offers multiple solutions in an attempt to unify their logistics processes.”

Sustainability and green transportation initiatives are also drawing increased focus. With many trucks in the region being diesel-powered, particularly in China, organizations are looking to TMS technology to help mitigate and measure emissions. Utilizing optimization capabilities to build more efficient routes, leveraging analytics to capture emissions and carbon footprint information and selecting more environmentally friendly transport modes (such as rail or waterways) are some of the ways TMS technology can help.”

We believe these trends have also been noted by oTMS when serving its clients. With 11- years experience in Asia, oTMS has been recognized by many large and medium-sized shippers because of its pioneering SaaS TMS + APP model and transparent and visible features. It brings connectivity to all parties within the logistics chain: from shippers, logistics service providers (LSPs), drivers and to consignees.

Since Singapore entity established in 2022, oTMS launched an international edition of SaaS TMS to extend its coverage to South-East Asian markets (SEA). oTMS has replicated some of its successful experiences in China to the Asia-Pacific region and has made localized adjustments and innovations in system functionalities, which provide multi-language, time zone setting, currency display, ETA calculations, route optimization, carbon emission statistics, etc., according to the diversified logistic planning, execution challenges, and pain points of enterprises in different countries.

Today, oTMS has emerged as a one of the top TMS vendors in the Asia-Pacific market, facilitating over 700 million shipments and linking 9,000 road carriers and 600,000 drivers with 6 country editions and more to follow.

Moving forward, oTMS is committed to delivering connectivity, optimization, automation, reliability, and actionable insights to its clients through its range of TMS solutions, paving the way for smarter transportation.
