Client Introduction
La Chapelle is a rapidly developing multi-brand fashion group in China which provides design, brand marketing, and sales for clothing and apparel with a primary focus on general women’s leisure apparel.
La Chapelle sells product directly to customers through its offline retail network and online operations platform, and all of its retail stores are directly managed and operated by the company. As of June 30, 2015, the company operated 7,147 retail stores in 31 provinces across China, including maintaining a presence in roughly 2,230 shopping malls and shopping centers.
La Chapelle began to use oSuper in November 2016 to implement uniform management for planned and unscheduled store distribution. As a result, in-transit delivery times were reduced from an average of 7 days to 1 day or less, and sell-through rates were dramatically improved. Furthermore, e-billing has reduced management costs associated with end-of-month account settlement.
oTMS Solution
Shanghai La Chapelle Fashion Co., Ltd. originally had two main distribution methods: 1. Planned distribution. Scheduling and arrangement by the logistics department, including centralized management of orders, scheduling deliveries, and final pick-up required 7 business days to complete. 2. Express distribution to meet customer demands. Express delivery chosen at store staff’s discretion, wherein costs were covered by end-of-month reimbursements from the company. Of these two distribution methods, planned distribution was slow, had long in-transit inventory periods, and wasted large amounts of time resulting in reduced sales. Meanwhile, the express distribution method lacked unified management and required hand-written orders by the stores to manually record the express number information. The finance department also had to expend massive amounts of time and energy handling the end-of-month reimbursement process.
After the implementation of oSuper, stores can make orders at any time and enjoy same-day pick-ups and next-day deliveries. This significantly reduces the in-transit time of goods, improves cargo circulation, and increases sales opportunities. Moreover, oSuper provides a universal end-of-month clearing function, thereby avoiding monthly store reimbursements and improving management efficiency.
